Since its inception, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been playing a leading role in bringing all types of criminals under the law to maintain the good law and order situation in the country. RAB has been conducting regular operations to arrest absconding accused in various sensational cases including militants, terrorists, organized criminals, robbers, drug dealers, murder, kidnapping and gang rape. RAB has already been able to gain the public’s trust in crime control with the continuation of intelligence surveillance and raiding activities.
In continuation of this, on the night of 02 October 2023 AD, a raiding team of RAB-10 conducted an operation in Merulbadda area under Badda police station of capital Dhaka based on secret information. In the said operation, Demra Police Station of the capital Dhaka, Case No-83(4)95, Section-304/34 of the Rules. Mostafa, father-Kalu Mia, Sang-Purba Rajargaon, Thana-Haziganj, District-Chandpur, who has been on the run for a long time under the warrant of the murder case, has been arrested.
During preliminary interrogation, the arrested accused confessed to be absconding accused in the said murder case. It is known that he was hiding in different areas of the country including Badda in the capital for a long time before he was arrested by RAB. The arrested accused has been handed over to the concerned police station.
