RAB 10 arrested Hriday Munshi, the absconding main accused of the sensational Kahel Munshi (65) murder in Singair area of Manikganj district within 12 hours of the murder from Nawabganj area of Dhaka.
Since its inception, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been playing a leading role in bringing all types of criminals under the law to maintain the overall law and order situation in the country. RAB has been carrying out regular operations to arrest militants, terrorists, organized criminals, robbers, drug dealers and absconders convicted in various cases, including kidnapping, rape and murder. RAB has already been able to gain people’s trust in crime control with the continuation of intelligence surveillance and raiding activities.
In continuation of this, a joint raid team of RAB-4 and RAB-10 conducted an operation in Chakria area under Nawabganj police station of Dhaka district on the basis of secret information yesterday at approximately 21:00 on March 11, 2024 AD. In the said operation, Nawabganj police station of Dhaka district, case no-14/86, date-12/03/2024 AD; Section-143/447/323/325/302/307/114/34 Penal Code; Due to the dispute over the boundary of the house, the premeditated sensationalist Kahel Munshi (65) arrested the fugitive main accused Hriday Munshi (23), father-Islam Munshi, Sang-Madhurchar, Thana-Singair, District-Manikganj within 12 hours of the murder.
During preliminary interrogation, the arrested accused confessed his direct involvement in the said murder. It is known that he was hiding in Nawabganj of Dhaka after organizing the murder.
The process of handing over the arrested accused to the concerned police station is under process.
