RAB-10 arrested 03 drug dealers with 10 kg of ganja and phensidyl from Jatrabari area of the capital. Since its inception, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been playing a leading role in bringing all types of criminals under the law to maintain the overall law and order situation in the country. RAB has been conducting regular operations against militants, terrorists, organized criminals, armed criminals, robbers and narcotics. RAB has continued its anti-narcotics campaign to eradicate drugs with the slogan “Let’s go to war, against drugs”. In continuation of this, today 05 September 2023 AD from 00:05 AM to 01:10 AM, an expeditionary team of RAB-10 conducted an operation in Dania area under Jatrabari Police Station of the capital Dhaka. In the said operation, 03 drug dealers were arrested along with 10 (ten) kg of ganja and 71 (seventy one) bottles of Phencidil worth approximately 5,13,000/- (Five Lakh Thirteen Thousand). Name of arrested drug dealers 1. Md. Mamun Hossain (27), father – Md. Zulhas 2. Md. Manik Mia (35), father-deceased Rahim Mia and 3. Md. Raihan Hossain (27), Father-Md. Jamir Hossain, Sarbsang-Kanchpur, Thana-Sonargaon, District-Narayanganj. Meanwhile, 03 mobile phones were recovered from them. Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested persons are professional drug dealers. For quite some time, they had been collecting ganja and phensidyl and other narcotics from different border areas of the country and supplying them to different areas of Dhaka city including Jatrabari. A drug case was registered against the arrested persons: it has been handed over to the concerned police station.
