Recently, in the case of huge amount of money being stolen in the name of MLM company, the victims held human chain, press conference and protest rally in several districts including Dhaka, Narayanganj, Sylhet, Pirojpur. The news of fraud reported in various media of the country created a nationwide sensation and stir. Several victims also filed complaints with the law enforcement agencies. As a result, RAB began shadow investigations and increased intelligence surveillance. In continuation of this yesterday, on 09 April 2023 AD, a raiding team of RAB-10 conducted an operation in Golap Bagh area under Jatrabari police station of the capital Dhaka. – Phuljhuri, Police Station – Mathbaria, District – Pirojpur, present address – Madinabagh, Rayer Bagh, Police Station – Kadmatoli, District Dhaka and one of his accomplices Surma Akter Isha (20), Father – Md. Shamchu Mia, Husband – Md. Zahid Hasan, Sang – Phuljhuri , Thana- Mathbaria, District- Pirojpur, present address- Medinabagh, Rayerbagh Thana- Kadmatoli, District- Dhaka arrested. Meanwhile, 50 fraudulent market cards, 02 food list cards and 02 mobile phones were recovered from them. Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested fraudster targeted middle class, lower middle class and poor people and used to be members of the foundation. If they were members of the said organization, they would be lured by offering 05 kg of rice, 02 kg of flour, 01 liter of oil, 01 kg of dal and 01 kg of sugar at a fair price of Tk 600/- (Six Hundred) thrice every month and took advance money from them. In the interrogation, it is also known that the said organization has been cheating the common people since its inception. It is known that the organization has cheated a huge amount of money from its approximately 11,000 (eleven thousand) members from different parts of the country including the capital since its inception. A regular case has been registered against the arrested in the concerned police station.
