Since its inception, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been playing a leading role in bringing all types of criminals under the law to maintain the overall law and order situation in the country. RAB has been conducting regular operations against militants, terrorists, organized criminals, armed criminals, robbers and narcotics. RAB has continued its anti-narcotics campaign to eradicate drugs with the slogan “Let’s go to war, against drugs”. In continuation of this, today 13th April 2023 A.D. an raiding party of RAB-10 conducted an operation in Baghapur area under Dakshin Keraniganj police station of Dhaka district on the basis of secret information and recovered approximately 17,55,000/- (Seven Lakh Fifty Thousand) 5850 (Five Thousand Eight Hundred) worth of Tk. Fifty) 02 drug dealers were arrested with Peace Yaba tablets. Name of arrested persons 1. Noor Mohammad (28) and 2. He is said to be Md Sharif (24). Meanwhile, 02 mobile phones were recovered from them. Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested persons are professional drug dealers. They had been collecting Yaba tablets and other drugs from different border areas of the country for quite some time and supplying them to different areas of the country including South Keraniganj. A drug case has been registered against the arrested persons in the concerned police station.
