RAB-10 arrested 01 person with foreign pistol and bullets from Shyampur of the capital

Yesterday on 07/05/2026 at approximately 21:50 hours, a smart raiding team of RAB-10, CPSC, Lalbagh Camp conducted an operation in the area under Shyampur Thana of DMP Dhaka based on the information received through secret information about the sale and purchase of illegal drugs. In the said operation, DMP of Postgola area under Shyampur police station of Dhaka01 (one) person was arrested after recovering 01 (one) foreign pistol with 05 (five) rounds and 01 (one) magazine from a residential hotel. The arrested person’s name is Aripur Rahman Nayan (41), father – Md. Arsh Ali, Karimullar Bagh, Police Station – Shyampur, DMP Dhaka. This time 03 (three) mobile phones were seized from him. In the preliminary investigation, it is known that the accused is only involved in arms tradeNo, there are 02 (two) cases under the Explosives Act against him in Shyampur police station of DMP Dhaka.He is a professional terrorist with illegal weapons.who had been carrying out terrorist activities in various areas including Shyampur under the threat of illegal weapons for quite some time. Necessary legal action against the arrested Assam is under process. RAB-10 is against such crimesZero tolerance is being followed. RAB is always determined to maintain law and order situation and bring the criminals under the law, said Md Anwar Hossain, Senior Assistant Director (Media) of Rapid Action Battalion-10.
