Since its inception, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been playing a leading role in bringing all types of criminals under the law to maintain the overall law and order situation of the country. RAB has been conducting regular operations against militants, terrorists, organized criminals, armed criminals, robbers and narcotics. RAB has continued its anti-narcotics campaign to eradicate drugs with the slogan “Let’s go to war, against drugs”. In continuation of this, today 24th May 2023 A.D. a raiding party of RAB-10 conducted an operation in Shahidnagar area under Shyampur Model Police Station of the capital Dhaka based on secret information and seized 98 (ninety eight) villages worth approximately 9,80,000/- (Nine Lakh Eighty Thousand) Taka. Arrested 01 drug dealer with heroin. The name of the arrested drug dealer is known to be Mosha: Mouluda Begum (61). During this time, cash of drug sale – 7,510/- (seven thousand five hundred and ten) rupees and 01 mobile phone were recovered from him. The preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested drug dealer had been collecting heroin and other narcotics from various border areas of the country and supplying them to different areas of the country including Shyampur. A drug case is pending against the arrested drug dealer in the concerned police station.
