Since its inception, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been playing a leading role in bringing all types of criminals under the law to maintain the overall law and order situation in the country. RAB has been conducting regular operations against militants, terrorists, organized criminals, armed criminals, robbers and narcotics. RAB has continued its anti-narcotics campaign to eradicate drugs with the slogan “Let’s go to war, against drugs”.
In continuation of this yesterday on March 04, 2023 A.D. an raiding party of RAB-10 conducted an operation in Dhalpur area under Jatrabari Thana of the capital Dhaka on the basis of secret information and recovered approximately 22,45,500/- (two hundred and forty five thousand and five hundred) rupees worth 7485 (seven thousand four One hundred and eighty five) arrested 01 drug dealer with piece yaba tablets. The arrested person has been identified as Imran Ghazi (43). Meanwhile, cash of drug sale – 7,570/- (Seven Thousand Five Hundred Seventy) was recovered from him.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested person is a professional drug dealer. He had been collecting Yaba tablets and other drugs from different border areas of the country for quite some time and supplying them to different areas of the country including Jatrabari in the capital.
A drug case has been registered against the arrested person in the concerned police station.
