RAB-10 arrested 01 drug dealer with 1315 pieces of Yaba from Khilgaon area of Rajdhani; Seizure of private cars used for transporting drugs.
Since its inception, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been playing a leading role in bringing all types of criminals under the law to maintain the overall law and order situation of the country. RAB has been conducting regular operations against militants, terrorists, organized criminals, armed criminals, drug dealers and robbers including robberies. This campaign of RAB has already managed to gain the trust of the people.
In continuation of this yesterday, on December 24, 2023, at approximately 12.50 pm, an expeditionary team of RAB-10 conducted an operation in the Khilgaon area of the capital Dhaka based on secret information. In the said operation, 01 drug dealer was arrested along with 1315 (one thousand three hundred and fifteen) pieces of Yaba tablets worth approximately 3,94,500/- (Three Lakh Ninety Four Thousand Five Hundred) Rupees. The name of the arrested drug dealer is known to be Chabekun Nahar (36), father- Abdul Hakim, Sang-Godar Bill, Police Station- Teknaf, District- Cox’s Bazar. Meanwhile, 01 private car used for transporting drugs was seized from him.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested Chhabekun Nahar is a professional drug dealer. He had been collecting Yaba and other narcotics from various border areas of the country for quite some time and supplying them to various surrounding areas including Khilgaon in the capital.
