Panchgarh in the Kadiani community called off the annual jalsa after a protest blockade and massive clashes between angry mobs and the police. Two people including Qadiyani were killed in this incident. The deceased youth is Arifur Rahman (27). He is the son of Farman Ali of Masjid Para area of Panchagarh district city. Another person is Zahid Hasan whose house is in Banpara area of Natore. Panchagarh Superintendent of Police SM Sirajul Huda confirmed the death of Arif. Immediately, thousands of angry mobs gathered and started throwing brickbats at the police in the city. At this time, the police chased the crowd. The chase continued. During this time, at least half a hundred people including police journalists were injured. At present, the shops are closed and the situation in Panchagarh city is prevailing. Meanwhile, all the shops in the district city were closed due to the clash between the police and the angry crowd. Shops were closed till night. Since 2 o’clock in the afternoon, there have been sporadic clashes in different areas of the district town. At this time, thousands of pedestrians suffered. Several power transformers in the city were damaged. Electricity supply remains off till night. Meanwhile, in the afternoon, the angry crowd attacked the houses of Ahmadnagar Muslim Jamaat area of Qadian community. 160 houses were set on fire in the attack. Afternoon and evening, the situation becomes somewhat normal. Small vehicles in the city started moving. Around seven in the night, the angry crowd again gathered at various places including Karatoya Bridge and started protesting. Barricade. Meanwhile, after receiving information about the protest, the police had taken up positions in several places including Chowrangi Mor in Panchagarh city from the beginning.
