Rabiul Hossain Chowdhury Ripon: As part of the public relations program of BNP-nominated paddy sheaf candidate for the Chittagong-7 (Rangunia) parliamentary constituency, a public relations meeting was held with the local people in Resham Bagan Marma Para and Badsha Majhir Ghona of Ward No. 9 of Hosnabad Union No. 2 of Rangunia Upazila.
People from various classes and professions, including people from small ethnic groups, participated in this public relations and opinion exchange meeting organized at 11:30 am on Tuesday (January 27). Present at the meeting were Chittagong North District BNP Vice President Professor Md. Yunus Chowdhury, Rangunia Upazila BNP Convener Professor Qutubuddin Bahar, Member Secretary Md. Fazlul Haque, former chairman of Rangunia Upazila Parishad Abu Ahmed Hasnat, Rangunia Upazila Jubo Dal Convener Md. Sekandar, joint convener G.S. Shoaib Quader, former chairman of Hosnabad Union Parishad No. 2 and Upazila BNP leader Mirza Nazim Uddin Khokon, and Ward No. 9 BNP President Md. Bahar Uddin Babu. Rangamati District BNP Vice President Dr. Md. Rahmat Ullah, Joint Secretary and former Chairman of Kaptai Upazila Parishad Dildar Hossain, Kaptai Upazila BNP President Lokman Ahmed, General Secretary Md. Yasin Mamun, Kaptai Upazila Jubo Dal Member Secretary Md. Ibrahim Habib Milu, Kaptai Upazila Chhatra Dal Convener Sekandar Ali Russell, Kaptai Upazila Jubo Dal C Joint Convener Abu Hasan Chowdhury Roxy and Kaptai Upazila Tanti Dal Organizing Secretary Md. Rahmat Ullah Monu and KPM Sramik Karmachar Parishad (CBA) President Abdur Razzak along with leaders of various levels of BNP and its affiliates were present as invited guests. The speakers at the meeting said that it is important to ensure the people’s voting rights through free, fair and participatory elections. They listened to the various problems and expectations of the local people and assured to work sincerely to implement them. At the end of the exchange of views, the leaders exchanged greetings with the locals and called for maintaining a peaceful and democratic environment.
