Prime Minister inaugurated the 4th phase of land and house transfer program; 73 more families got houses in Laksam Comilla 

 “Not a single person in the country will be landless and homeless” on the occasion of Mujib’s birth centenary, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has declared Laksam upazila of Comilla district landless and homeless free. He announced this through a video conference from Ganabhavan on March 22. On the occasion of Mujib Barsha, house deeds and keys were handed over to 73 more “A” class landless and homeless families along with land in the third and fourth phases as a gift from the Prime Minister at Laksam, Comilla. 193 landless and homeless families in Enye Laksam received Prime Minister’s gift house. On the occasion of this handover, Laxam Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Mahfuza Matin was also present in Laxam Upazila Auditorium, Upazila Parishad Chairman Advocate Yunus Bhuiyan, Municipal Chief Executive Officer Sumit Saha, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Farhanur Rahman, Upazila Social Service Officer Noval Chandra Das, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Mazharul Islam, Upazila Agriculture Officer Syed Shahinur Islam, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Prasad Kumar Bhawal. Also, officials of various government and private departments, journalists, teachers, religious leaders and beneficiaries of 73 homeless families were present.
