Press conference in Sonaimuri to protest against the controversial committee

The activists and supporters held a press conference to protest against the announcement of the controversial committee of Awami League elected committee of Ward No. 1 of Bargaon UP of Sonaimuri. On the death of Abdul Malek, according to the constitution, the senior vice-president Emon Hossain Emon held the current duties of the president until the next term. He has been participating and leading in all party activities. There is no negative reaction from the recruiters. But on July 24, 2023 AD, ignoring the constitution, without the knowledge of the local Awami League leaders and activists, Bellal Hossain was appointed as the president and Saleh Ahmad, the general secretary of the running committee, was announced as a partial committee. Who or who has done this work against the constitution to create chaos within the party? We express our protest and strong condemnation. He also said, through this press conference, we are demanding the attention of district, upazila and central leaders to take necessary measures. In the press conference, most of the committee’s leaders and activists including the current committee’s vice president Tajul Islam, organizing secretary Nur Uddin Bhuiyan, co-organizing secretary Nur Nabi, publicity secretary Abdul Matin and executive member Vijay Kumar Bhowmik were present.
