A prayer and farewell ceremony was held on Sunday, August 13 at 11 a.m. to mark the farewell of the 2023 HSC examinees of Jhalam High School and College in Barura, Comilla.
Md. Abdus Samad, general secretary of Barura Upazila Jankalyan Samiti Dhaka and president of Jhalam High School and College Governing Body, was present as the chief guest in the prayer and farewell ceremony in the college auditorium under the chairmanship of Jhalam High School and College Principal Mohammad Emdadul Haque Palash.
Senior Lecturer of Jhalam High School and College Mohammad Shahjalal conducted the prayer and farewell ceremony. Parent Representative (College Branch) Hafez Maulana Akhtaruzzaman, Parent Representative (School Branch) Khorshed Alam Milan, Teacher Representative of Jhalam School and College Senior Lecturer Mohammad Masud Majumdar, Asst. Head teacher Forkan Hossain Majumdar, assistant professor Md. Abul Basar, assistant professor Sarkar Shiuli Akhtar.

Farhana Islam Milli, Yasir Mahmud Imu spoke on behalf of eleventh class students, Asma Jahan, Jannat spoke among the farewell students. Class 11 student Moni Akhtar read the certificate, Siam Ahmed, student of class 11 recited from the Holy Quran in the ceremony.
