President Md. Sahabuddin instructed the policemen to act as friends of the people. He said, the police should act as a friend of the people. Investigation report should be submitted as soon as possible to settle various cases in public interest. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun paid a courtesy call on the President at Bangabhaban on Sunday (May 28) afternoon. He said that through the President IGP, care should be taken to make the work of policemen more people-friendly. Md. Sahabuddin said, “Cybercrime is increasing due to the development of information technology. Every member of the police should be trained in technology to deal with cybercrime. The President appreciated the role of the police in combating terrorism and militancy and advised to continue this activity in the future as well. During the meeting, the Inspector General of Police informed the President about the overall activities of Bangladesh Police. Secretary of the President’s Office, Rich Badua, Military Secretary Major General SM Salahuddin Islam, Press Secretary Md. Zainal Abedin and Secretary (attached) Md.
