 Kaunia police arrested one person with 26 kg of ganja and handed it over to the court. A team of Kaunia police station of Rangpur district conducted a special operation based on secret information and arrested a person with 26 kg of ganja. The arrested person is Md. Farhadul Islam (30), son of deceased Sekander Ali of Gutirgaur village of Kaliganj police station in Lalmonirhat district. At 22.45 minutes on Kaunia-Dhaka bound highway, a team of Kaunia police station searched Dhaka-bound Anas Enterprise (bus) in Mirbag Bazar area and arrested the accused after recovering 04 tupala of 26 kg ganja from inside a chat bag in the locker of the bus. Meanwhile, 01 mobile phone was seized. It is known that a case has been filed under the Narcotics Control Act at Kaunia Police Station. The arrested person has been produced before the learned court.
