Faruk Hossain, the OC of Langalkot police station, who sought votes for the finance minister, has been transferred to the police line. The matter came to light on Friday. In an office order signed by Superintendent of Police Abdul Mannan last Thursday, he was asked to lineor the Comilla police line. Last August 15 on the occasion of National Day of Mourning Nangalkot Upazila Parishad Auditorium OC Md. Farooq Hossain.
Finance Minister and Member of Parliament of Comilla-10 (Nagalkot, Sadar Dakshin and Lalmai) AHM Mustafa Kamal made a speech to the local residents ‘begging’ to win the election again. Farooq Hossain has been transferred to the police line. OC Farooq Hossain said in the National Mourning Day discussion meeting last Tuesday, ‘People of Nangalkot will re-elect him (Ahm Mustafa Kamal) en masse. This is my plea to you. Actually Hon’ble Finance Minister has developed Nangalkot so much. Many areas of Nangalkot had no roads, no electricity.
When he came, he won your hearts and brought you to the pinnacle of development.’ OC’s 39-second statement went viral on social media. Many people questioned whether the OC can make such a statement as a government official. Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal Comilla South District Awami League President. He is a Member of Parliament of this constituency since 29 December 2008. He became Planning Minister in 2014 and Finance Minister in 2018. Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Raihan Mehbub, Nangalkot Upazila Parishad Chairman Samchuddin, Kalu Vice Chairman Abu Yusuf Bhuiyan and government officials and public representatives were present in the discussion meeting organized by Nangalkot Upazila Administration.
