Nomination papers of 6 candidates valid for Comilla-9 constituencies

9 candidates submitted nomination papers in Comilla-9 (Laksam-Manoharganj) parliamentary seat to participate in the 12th National Assembly elections. Among them, the nomination of 6 candidates is valid and the nomination papers of 3 candidates have been declared canceled by the returning officer.
According to the sources of the returning officer’s office, Bangladesh Awami League nominated candidate for 257, Comilla-9 (Laksam-Manoharganj) parliamentary seat to participate in the 12th National Parliament election is Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives. Tajul Islam, Jatiya Party candidate Professor Dr. Md. Golam Mustafa Kamal, Islamic Front Bangladesh candidate Mir Md. Abu Bakar, Zaker Party candidate Tipu Sultan, Bangladesh Tariqat Federation candidate Syed Dr. Rezaul Haque Chandpuri, National Socialist Party Jasad candidate Monirul Anwar, Bangladesh Nationalist Movement candidate Hasan Miah, Krishak Sramik Janata League candidate Md. Jasim Uddin, Bangladesh Islami Front candidate. Moazzem Hossain submitted nomination papers.
On December 4, the returning officer and Comilla Deputy Commissioner’s office selected the Awami League candidate. Tajul Islam (Boat) Bangladesh Tariqat Federation Candidate Syed Dr. Rezaul Haque Chandpuri (flower garland) Islamic Front Bangladesh candidate Mir Md. Abu Bakar (Chair) Jatiya Party candidate Professor Dr. Md. Golam Mustafa Kamal (Plough) Farmer Labor Janata League Candidate. Jasim Uddin (towel) Bangladesh Islami Front candidate. Moazzem Hossain’s (Candle) nomination paper declared valid. Meanwhile, the nomination papers of 3 candidates have been canceled due to concealment of information in the affidavit. They are Zaker Party candidate Tipu Sultan, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal Jasad candidate Monirul Anwar, Bangladesh Nationalist Movement candidate Hasan Miah.
