The new Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mobaswer Hasan has promised to work for the desired development by completely de-occupying the traditional century-old Shyamasundari Canal of Rangpur. He said that Shyamasundari canal is very important in maintaining normal water flow and drainage management in Rangpur metropolis. We understand the need for this canal. We will work with the City Corporation and others concerned to modernize Shyamasundari Canal.

If anyone is landless and homeless, I am asking him or them to apply. The government is there for them. We will provide land and housing for the homeless. Step by step, the landless and homeless people of the district are being listed and houses are being given to them under the government shelter scheme.
