Chairman of Bangladesh Press Council Justice Nizamul Haque Nasim said that the Press Council will pass a law to fine 5 lakh rupees if journalists and newspapers make mistakes, not 10 lakh rupees. This law will be taken up in Parliament soon.
He said this while addressing a day-long training workshop for journalists at Lalmonirhat Circuit House on Tuesday (October 31).
Chairman of Bangladesh Press Council Justice Nizamul Haque Nasim said that the newspapers are not cooperating in making the list of journalists.
We have decided to issue credentials from the Press Council. Which will be implemented soon.Bangladesh Press Council Additional Secretary Shyamal Chandra Karmakar and Lalmonirhat Additional Deputy Commissioner TM Momin also spoke at the training workshop for journalists. Journalists working in the district participated in the training.
