On Tuesday (August 20th) in the afternoon, assistant engineers, officials and employees of Nesco protested at the Nesco office near Khamar Mor in the city.
One point of the claim is that the significant discrimination is that managing directors promote family-oriented people without evaluating seniority. They complain that it is discrimination for a long time.
Although 120 people were tested for promotion, he is accused of promoting 37 people for his own benefit after seeing family and familiar faces. Ending this discrimination, the contractual employees demanded job promotion and job permanence.
Workers working at risk in the protest raised their demand for overtime. Their work overtime is given 10-20 hours instead of 60-80 hours. Highlighting this disparity, the workers demanded to ensure full overtime.
The coordinator of this anti-discrimination movement is Sarwar Jahan Sayeed, assistant engineer of NESCO. 65 people including prominent coordinators Zakir Hossain, Ruhul Marjan, Maruf Hossain, Arif Khan, Mojibur Rahman, Mostakinur Rahman, Sadekul Islam.
