In the elections of the executive committee of News Broadcasters Alliance Society of Bangladesh (NBA), an organization of news presenters of private television and radio stations, Saqlain Russell and Raisul Haque Chowdhury have been elected as president and general secretary.
The results were announced on Friday 24th May 2024 at Dhaka Reporters Unity after voting.
Among other posts, Mohammad Imtiaz of Channel 24, Meher e Khoda Dweep of Baishakhi Television, Nazneen Ahmed of NTV and Sharif Ul Haque of Channel 24, Babli Yasmin of AT News, Rupa Noor of SA TV were elected as executive members.
Besides, Joint General Secretary Mujahidul Islam Shibbir of Independent TV, Treasurer Nadira Ashraf of Bangla Vision, Organizing Editor Ashiq Tamal of Channel 24, Office Editor Mamun Ur Rashid of Channel 24, Information and Communication Technology Editor Hafiz Khandkar of My TV, Culture and Sports Editor of News 24 Ranju Iftekhar. , Training and Research Editor Mahmudul Hasan Zahid of News 24, Health and Social Welfare Editor Atiqur Rahman Atiq of Channel 24, Law Editor Parveen Mitu of R TV, Media and Communication Editor GTV Tayib Anant were elected.
Mahbub Hasan (Chief Election Commissioner), Hasan Shahriar Kallol, Latiful Matin Mithu, Sangeeta Khan and Lavanya Hasan served as Election Commissioners.
