In the 22nd Asia Master Athletics Championship 2023 held in the Philippines, Singapore expatriate Nazrul Islam, a native of Devidar Gopalnagar area of Comilla, won the silver (second) medal in the 10 km road race and the bronze (third) medal in the 5 km race in the 35-39 age category. Bolibar of the Philippines was the first in the 10km road race and Itok Triwiono of Indonesia was the third. Singapore’s Markaz won the first place in the 5 km race and Bolibar of the Philippines won the second place.
Singapore expatriate Nazrul Islam has made Bangladesh proud by winning second and third place in the 22nd Asia Master Athletics Championship 2023 even from abroad. The championship started on November 8 and will end on November 12. There is a flood of joy in various districts including Comilla district of Bangladesh on receiving the medal of Nazrul Islam.
