National Local Government Day Development Fair 2023 was celebrated at Galachipa in Patuakhali with the slogan ‘Efficient design of service and improvement, local government in development-innovation’.
A colorful rally was organized by the upazila administration on Sunday, September 17 at 10:30 am. The rally was attended by people from various professions of the upazila school-college students and circled the main main road of the city and ended at the development fair premises in Punora.
After cutting the red ribbon, the Chairman of the Upazila Parishad inaugurated the fair. Shaheen. At this time, under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Mohiuddin, the chief guest was Mr. Shaheen was present. Upazila Engineer Md Jahangir Alam, Upazila Health Officer Doctor Md Mezbah Uddin Ahmed, Agriculture Officer Arju Akhtar, Primary Education Officer Mir Rezaul Karim, Upazila Animal Officer Sajal, Hero Mukti Joddha Md Samchuddin Shanudhali, Galachipa Galachipa Police Station Representative SI Rana, Panel Mayor Sushil Chandra Biswas, Golkhali UP Chairman Md Nasir Uddin, Press Club President Md. Khalid Hossain Milton gave the guest speech.
The chief guest inaugurated the three-day fair. A total of 14 stalls of various government departments were displayed in the fair. Apart from this, all levels of public, upazila fire service and civil defense, print and electronic media journalists were present in the development fair.
Later, around 12 o’clock in the afternoon, sata competition was held on the bank of Upazila Dighi. The program was conducted by Village Development Officer Md. Mahabub Hasan Shibli.
