The rally, discussion meeting and award distribution ceremony has been completed on the occasion of the celebration of National Girl Child Day-2023 organized by District Administration and District Women Affairs Directorate and District Shishu Academy.
Additional District Magistrate Mehedi Hasan spoke as the chief guest at the discussion meeting and award distribution ceremony at the District Commissioner’s conference room on Saturday, September 30 at 10:30 am. Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Md. Shah Jinnah Al Mamun and Chairman of National Women’s Organization district branch Sultana Bulbul were special guests in the discussion meeting chaired by Assistant Commissioner of District Administration MA Quader. Md. Morshed Ali Khan, Deputy Director of District Women’s Affairs Department gave the welcome speech. With the theme “Investment Priority – Girl Child’s Rights” in the presentation of Day Care Officer of District Women Affairs Department Sharminaz Islam, Assistant Professor of Dinajpur Government Women’s College Jasmine Akhtar, General Secretary of Handicapped Schools and Rehabilitation Organization Bilkis Ara Faiz, Usha Nari participated in the open discussion. Nurchaba Hossain, president of the development organization, Upendra Nath Roy of MBSK, Shamsun Nahar, manager of Pallishri, Armina Hossain, president of Parash Moni, Sabina Yasmin, general editor of Sadhana Mahila Development Organization, etc.
At the end of the discussion meeting, gifts were given to 6 winners of the essay competition to be held in 2 categories on the occasion of the day. Earlier at 10 am a colorful rally from the District Commissioner’s office circled the city to celebrate the day.
