Demonstrations and rallies have been held in Nalchiti of Jhalkathi against the anti-quota movement. A protest procession was taken out in front of bus stand Vijay Ullas 71 at 11 am on Saturday. Leaders of brave freedom fighters and children’s command took part in the procession. The procession goes around the city and ends at the same place. Commander Sheikh Habibur Rahman Talukdar of Nalchiti Upazila Muktijoddha Sangsad, Mayor of Nalchiti Municipal Bir Muktijoddha Abdul Waheed Khan, Upazila Awami League Office Secretary Yusuf Ali Talukder and Convener of Muktijoddha Ishan Command Laizur Rahman Riaz participated in the procession. Later a rally was held at Vijay Ullas Chatwar. Speakers at the rally said a cycle was active to erase the spirit of the liberation war. In the name of canceling the quota, attempts are being made to create anarchy in the country. The speakers announced to resist the conspirators.
