Mymensingh   in  2 killed in motorcycle-easybike collision

Md. Moniruzzaman ,Mymensingh Correspondent: Two people were killed and two others injured in a collision between an easy bike and a motorcycle in Ishwarganj Upazila of Mymensingh, causing temporary traffic jams on both sides of the road.

The tragic accident occurred at around 5:30 pm on Tuesday (April 7) in the Maijbagh Gurusthan area of the upazila on the Mymensingh to Kishoreganj highway.

The deceased are Md. Hazir Uddin (65), a resident of Charpara village in Rajibpur union of the upazila, and Md. Zahid (18), son of Abdul Ali, a resident of Sadhur Golla village in Maizbag union.

Ishwarganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Rabiul Azam confirmed the news. He said the victims have been rescued from the scene. Further action is being taken in the incident.

Police and local sources said that the autorickshaw carrying the passengers was heading towards Nandail from Ishwarganj. At that time, it collided head-on with a speeding motorcycle coming from the opposite direction in the area of the incident. As a result, both vehicles went into a tailspin. At that time, the motorcycle rider Zahid and the autorickshaw passenger Hazir Uddin died on the spot. Two more people were rescued in serious condition in the incident and sent to the local health complex.
