District Intelligence Branch (DB) police arrested Samchul Haque Jewel (48) along with 30 pieces of Yaba tablets in Lake Road area of Moulvibazar municipality on the night of July 6. He is the son of deceased Masuk Mia of Arambagh area of Moulvibazar city. The police have confirmed that there are 7 cases against him including drugs in different police stations. The arrested person was searched and Yaba tablets were seized from his pant pocket. A case has been filed at Moulvibazar Sadar Police Station in this incident. On the other hand, 2 people named Abul Kalam Fazlu (27) and Ashid Ali (25) were arrested along with 200 pieces of yabas in the Kulaura police operation. On the night of July 6, Kulaura police station SI Ataur Rahman, along with the officer force, arrested two people in front of Palki Community Center in Chatalgaon area of Kulaura municipality. 200 pieces of Yaba tablets and a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw were seized from the custody of the two persons arrested at the spot.
