Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA) has approved the appointment of MM Monirul Alam as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bengal Islami Life Insurance Limited. Before that, he joined Guardian Life as Chief Executive Officer on January 1, 2015. His appointment was then renewed on 1 January 2018 for a further period of 3 years, expiring on 31 December 2020. MM Monirul Alam started his career in the insurance profession in 1991 as a senior executive officer of Delta Life. Then till 1999, he held two more positions as JAVP and AVP of the company. Then he joined Pragati Life Insurance on November 1, 1999. MM Monirul Alam worked at Pragati Life till 31 December 2014. During this time he served as VP, SVP, JVP, Assistant Managing Director, Deputy Managing Director and Additional Managing Director of the insurance company.
