Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day were celebrated in 70 non-formal learning centers of Barura Upazila under the implementation of Out of School Children Program, BRAC in Barura, Comilla.
Upazila Program Manager Masud Rana, program supervisors Imran Chowdhury, Sahidur Rahman, Fahim, Reema Akhtar and Kheni Marma, among the teachers Puran Kooba-Beauty Rani, Puran Kadba-2 Khorsheda Begum, Matiara Rasheda Begum, Chandipur Rehana Begum, Maheshpur Taslima were present. Begum, Shikarpur Jahanara Begum was present.
In the learning centers, with the help of teachers and students, martyrs were paid tribute to martyrs with flowers on the Shaheed Minar made by themselves.
Apart from this, morning tours, discussions, painting, poetry recitation, cultural activities and prize distribution programs are also held at the learning centre.
