Mangal procession and cultural program and award distribution were held on the occasion of Bengali New Year at Barura of Comilla by the upazila administration. On Friday, April 14 at 10 a.m. Barura Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sabrina Afrin Mustafa presided over the Mangal Sobhayatra from the Upazila Parishad premises. A cultural program was held on the ground of Barura Municipal Girls’ Government Primary School with the participation of students from various educational institutions and cultural organizations. At the end, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sabrina Afrin Mustafa distributed prizes among the winners as the chief guest. Lalmai Upazila Nirbahi Officer Forkan Elahi Anupam was present as the chief guest. , Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Lands) Md Mehdi Hasan, Upazila Parishad Women Vice Chairman Kamrun Nahar Shikha, Upazila Agriculture Officer Md Nazrul Islam, Upazila Animal Resources Officer Dr Nasreen Sultana Tanu, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md Saiful Islam, Barura were present as special guests.
