Logo unveiling and discussion meeting of International Human Rights and Journalists Organization (MASAS International) was held. On Sunday (May 28, 2023 AD) at 12 am, a discussion meeting on the role of human rights organizations and the media in the establishment of Smart Bangladesh was held at the Gonoshasthaya Homeo Auditorium of Old Paltan Darus Salam Arcade in the capital Dhaka and the logo was unveiled. Chairman of Masas International and Editor of Dainik Mukti Bukaya newspaper Kamruzzaman Jani presided over the meeting and Bangabandhu Research Council president Lion Md. Gani Mia Babul was present as the chief guest. Dhaka University Zoology Department Professor Dr. was present as a special guest. Hamida Khanom, Senior Assistant Commissioner of DMP and Protocol Officer of His Excellency President Md Shahadat Hossain. Dr. ASM Sarwar, Chairman of Public Health Homeo and Vice-President of Bangladesh Press Club, Director of Cancer Research, was present as the initiator. Nazrul Islam Tamiji, president of the National Human Rights Society, was present as the keynote speaker. Secretary General of the organization Dr. GM Enamul Haque delivered the welcome address moderated by Shaheen, Chairman of Bangladesh Public TV and MASAS International. Chief Coordinator and Organizing Secretary Md. Mohibullah Bhuiyan Babu, President of Comilla District Committee, journalist, poet and writer Md. Abdul Awal Sarkar, President of Bhola District Lalmohan Upazila Press Club Abdus Sattar, Soleman Miah and others. Speakers at the meeting said, Smart Bangladesh is a promise and slogan of the Government of Bangladesh which plans to transform the country from Digital Bangladesh to Smart Bangladesh by 2041. Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina first gave this promise and slogan. To build a smart Bangladesh, we must strive to build smart people, smart families and smart societies. If it is not possible to fulfill what is required for this, then it will not be possible to build a smart Bangladesh in the proper process. That’s why everyone has to change their position, purify themselves. New thinking, ideas should be discovered in the society. Journalists play an important role in the development of the country. The role of journalists in building a prosperous Bangladesh is immense. Journalists act as messengers to the people of the society. That is why it is important to provide objective news and make reports in one’s own personality. Human rights are essential for human survival and to sustain its existence as a social organism. If everyone works with a service mindset, the country will move forward. We will work as a partner of the government to build a knowledge-based, smart Bangladesh, Inshallah.
