Law and order meeting on the occasion of Durga Puja in Rajapur

On the occasion of upcoming Durga Purja, a discussion meeting on law and order was held in Rajapur of Jhalkath. The meeting was held on Wednesday (October 4) at 11 o’clock in the organization of Rajapur police station. In the meeting Rajapur Thana Officer-in-Charge Pulak Chandra Roy exchanged views on law and order issues with the president of 22 Puja Mandap of the upazila with the aim of observing Durga Puja without any untoward incident.

Gopal Karmakar, General Secretary of Upazila Puja Celebration Parishad, Jai Ram Tewari, President of Rajapur Upazila Branch of Hindu Buddhist Christian Oikya Parishad, General Secretary Nityanand Saha, Gaurang Lal Saha, Pran Balbab Saha, Ratan Biswas, Bhabendranath Talukdar, etc. addressed the meeting. In the meeting, when the leaders of the Pooja celebration committee highlighted various problems, the officer in charge of Rajapur police station said to solve all kinds of problems and advised to bring every temple under CCTV camera for security. Durga Puja will be held in total 22 temples in Rajapur Upazila this year. Among them, the idols of 13 temples will be abandoned. The idols of the remaining 9 temples will not be abandoned.
