Russell viper snake was found in Patgram of Lalmonirhat. Locals saw a snake near the settlement mosque of that upazila after Sunday evening. Later, local people killed the snake and brought it to the residence of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nurul Islam.
Patgram upazila executive officer Nurul Islam said, seeing the baby snake killed in such a way is not well understood. However, speaking to the Department of Health and Animal Resources, it is initially believed to be a baby Russell’s viper.
