A person named Abij Uddin Munshi (60) was killed in a head-on collision between a battery-operated auto-rickshaw and a motorcycle in Kaliganj of Lalmonirhat.
The accident happened on Saturday (November 25) afternoon in the Sirajul Market area of ​​Kakina Union of the upazila.
The deceased Abij Uddin is a resident of Betgari area of ​​Chandrapur union of that upazila. He was the imam of Betgari Baitun Najat Jame Masjid.
Locals said that Imam Abij Uddin was returning home on a motorcycle after work in Rangpur city. On the way, when Kakina came to Sirajul Market area, her motorcycle collided head-on with an autorickshaw. Imam Abiz was killed on the spot.
In this regard, Kaliganj police station officer-in-charge (OC) Imtiaz Kabir confirmed the truth of the incident.
