The narcotics seized by the BGB from the border of Lalmonirhat and Kurigram districts were destroyed at Lalmonirhat 15 BGB battalion training ground this Wednesday (September 27) morning. Narcotics worth Tk 4 crore 47 lakh 19 thousand 3 hundred and 10 rupees seized from the border without owner were destroyed.
Lt. Col. Mofazzal Hossain Akand, Lt. Col. Mofazzal Hossain Akand, the captain of Lalmonirhat 15 BGB, was the chief guest in the said, narcotics destruction ceremony. Rangpur Region Region Commander Brigadier General Mohammad Morshed Alam was the special guest. Rangpur Sector Commander Col. Md. Yashir Jahan Hossain PSC was the chief guest. Military, civil administration officials, public representatives, dignitaries, teachers and students of schools and colleges were present.
Among the narcotics destroyed were various types of liquor, gaja, phensedil, yaba, beer, various narcotic tablets. The value of these destroyed drugs is about 4 crore 47 lakh 19 thousand 3 hundred and 10 taka.
