Laksam Correspondent: With the theme “We are the Jewelry Family”, a special cultural program was organized by Laksam Jewelry Association on the occasion of the reunion of Baisakhi Ananda Tour 1433 Bangla. Jewelry traders, goldsmiths and people from different classes and professions participated in the program organized in a grand arrangement and festive atmosphere.
Alhaj Mazir Ahmed, President of Laksam Merchants Association, was present as the chief guest. Babu Subhash Banik, President of Laksam Jewelry Association, presided over the program. Abhijit Saha moderated the program.
Laksam Upazila Executive Officer Nargis Sultana, Laksam Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kazi Kamrun Nahar Laili, Upazila BNP Senior Vice President Dr. Nurullah Rahman, General Secretary Abdur Rahman Badal, Senior Vice President of Municipal BNP Abul Hossain Milon, General Secretary Golam Faruk, Upazila BNP Organizing Secretary Mosharraf Hossain Mushu, Md. Shah Alam, Municipal BNP Organizing Secretary Mahbubur Rahman Manik and Md. Mostafa Kamal and other local dignitaries were present.
At the event, the guests highlighted the tradition of Laksam’s jewelry business and the contribution of goldsmiths. They said that if there is harmony, mutual cooperation and unity among the businessmen, this sector will prosper further.
The guests present were mesmerized by the music, dance and pleasant performances in the cultural segment. A special performance titled “Ke Tumi Tandra Harni” added a different dimension to the event. In addition, one of the attractions of the event was the raffle draw, where attractive prizes were distributed among the winners.
The organizers said that such arrangements have been made to strengthen harmony and family ties among the businessmen. The event was supported by the Gold Artists Association, Laksam, Comilla.
