In the ongoing quota reform movement, the movement has been strengthened by allegations of attacks, killings and torture of students across the country. The anti-discrimination student movement has called for a protest march across the country today, claiming that students and general public have been injured.
As part of this, around 12:15 pm, the students took a stand on the road below the flyover in Khilgaon Railgate area.
They are giving various slogans about their position there. As the road was blocked, shortly before 12 o’clock a police officer approached them to speak. Seeing the officer, the students started chanting ‘fake’ ‘fake’. Many people rushed towards him.
Seeing this situation, the officer ran away from the place. After some time another police officer went and requested them to protest without violence. Students congratulated him by clapping their hands.
After that the police officer also left the place.
