KCC Election: 10 Executive Magistrates in the field to enforce the Code of Conduct

Besides, Senior Assistant Commissioner Bhupali Sarkar of Divisional Commissioner’s Office is in charge of Ward No. 16, 17 and 18. Khulna Sadar Assistant Commissioner (Land) Ariful Islam is serving in ward number 19, 20 and 25. 21, 22 and 23 wards are in charge of Khulna Senior Assistant Commissioner Sifat Md. Ishtiaq bhuiyan. 24, 26, 27 and 28 Ward Assistant Commissioner Rupayan Deb and Ward No. 29, 30 and 31 Rupsa Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Sajjad Hossain. The KCC returning officer said that 10 executive magistrates have been appointed to look after the code of conduct from the time of allotment of symbols to 32 hours before polling. Besides, the Assistant Returning Officers will monitor the movement in the constituencies, whether there is any violation of the code of conduct. If any candidate violates the election code of conduct, appropriate legal action will be taken against him. He further said that adherence to the code of conduct is a prerequisite for a free, fair and peaceful election. If the candidates follow the election code of conduct, then a fair and fair election will be held. I call upon all the candidates to campaign in accordance with the code of conduct. Incidentally, there are 136 general councilors in 31 wards and 39 candidates in 10 reserved wards in KCC elections. 5 lakh 35 thousand 529 voters will exercise their right to vote in 289 polling stations. Among them 2 lakh 66 thousand 696 female voters and 2 lakh 68 thousand 833 male voters.
