A mobile court has fined M/s Aftab Traders Tk 30,000 for the crime of selling fuel oil at full risk by installing a dispenser machine (oil supply device) inside a small shop in Akkelpur of Jaipurhat without obtaining government approval.
Executive Magistrate and Upazila Executive Officer Manjurul Alam conducted this operation of the mobile court at the place called Karitla of Gopinathpur Union of Upazila on Thursday afternoon.
According to mobile court sources, two businessmen named Nazmul Hossain and Mahbub Alam have been selling fuel oil, petrol and diesel to vehicles by installing a dispenser machine (oil supply device) in a small shop in a novel way without taking permission from Gopinathpur Karaitla of the upazila for a long time. Based on such news, Executive Magistrate and Upazila Executive Officer Manjurul Alam conducted a mobile court there and fined M/s Aftab Traders Tk 30,000 and sealed the shop.
Executive Magistrate and Upazila Executive Officer Manjurul Alam said that they had been selling oil dangerously by building oil tanks inside small shops without taking approval from Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation, Directorate of Explosives and related institutions for a long time. Due to the possibility of various accidents including fire at any time, they have been fined and the company has been closed. Such operations will continue.
