Seeds and chemical fertilizers have been distributed among the farmers in Kathalia, Jhalkathi. These seeds were distributed at the Upazila Agricultural Training Center today at 11:00 on October 2. Under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Md. Neshar Uddin, Upazila Parishad Chairman Md. Emadul Haque Monir was present as the chief guest. Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Md. Badiuzzaman Badu Sikdar was present as a special guest. Upazila Agriculture Officer Imran Bin Islam delivered the welcome speech. Agriculture Extension Officer Md. Ibrahim Khan, Assistant Plant Conservation Officer Md. Jamal Hossain along with government officials-employees, public representatives, journalists and farmers, were present among others. At this time, the guests present these seeds and fertilizers to the farmers. To increase the production of mustard, wheat, maize, sunflower, mukh, kesari and soybeans in the Rabi season, seeds and fertilizers were distributed among 3,100 farmers of the upazila under the agricultural incentive program. At the end of the ceremony, the rat extermination campaign was inaugurated.
