The 103rd birth anniversary of the greatest Bengali of all time, the architect of independent Bangladesh, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Child Adolescent Day are celebrated in Jhalkathi.This undisputed leader of the Bengali nation was born in a noble Muslim family in Tungipara of Gopalganj district on this day in 1920. On the occasion of the celebration of the day, the national flag has been hoisted in all government, semi-government, autonomous and private institutions and educational institutions of the district today. On the occasion of the 103rd birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner Farha Nijum Gul, Superintendent of Police Afrozul Haque Tutul, District District Awami League President Sardar Shah Alam paid tributes with flowers at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at 10 am in Jhalkathi District Commissioner Square. Secretary and District Council Chairman Ed. Khan Saifullah Panir, Mayor Alhaj Md. Liaqat Ali Talukder along with leaders of Awami League, Juba League, Chhatra League. After that, officials of various public and private institutions paid their respects with flowers. After paying tribute, District Commissioner Farha Nijum Gul celebrated his birthday by cutting a cake with the children in the conference room of Jhalkathi District Commissioner’s office. Superintendent of Police, district administration officials were present. Also teachers and students of various educational institutions etc.
