Former Mayor of Gazipur City Corporation and former General Secretary of Metropolitan Awami League Jahangir Alam has appeared around the south gate and secretariat of Baitul Mukarram Mosque along with thousands of leaders and activists from Gazipur. He took 500 20 days of cooked biryani with him. The packaged menus of these biryanis brought to Dhaka by trucks include chicken, eggs and bottled water.He has been expelled from the Awami League twice due to various reasons. Jahangir Alam was brought back to the Awami League after the expulsion was revoked last week. After being brought back to the party, Awami League-BNP called a rally in Dhaka on October 28, Jahangir Alam announced to keep the capital Dhaka safe.To make the event successful, Gazipur City Corporation Advisor Jahangir Alam arrived in Dhaka with about lakhs of leaders and activists from 57 wards of Gazipur City. Take with you a packet of 520 days of cooked biryani.
Nasir Uddin, a follower of Jahangir Alam who joined the rally in Dhaka from Tongir Saatis said, “We have come to Dhaka on the call of Jahangir Alam to keep Sheikh Hasina and Dhaka safe.
