 International Literacy Day 2023 was celebrated at Rajapur, Jhalkathi, with the slogan “Spreading Literacy to Build a Transformative and Peaceful Society”. On this occasion, rallies and discussions were held. Organized by the Rajapur upazila administration, on Friday (September 8) at 9 am, teachers, students, upazila parishad officers, employees, freedom fighters and local dignitaries of different educational institutions took part in a rally from the upazila parishad square, then held a discussion meeting in the upazila parishad meeting room. Upazila Parishad Chairman Principal Moniruzzaman spoke as the chief guest in the discussion meeting under the chairmanship of Rajapur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Farhana Yasmin. Upazila Parishad Women Vice Chairman Afroza Akhter Laiju, Animal Resources Officer Dinesh Chandra Majumdar, Rajapur Government Pilot Girls High School Principal Taslima Begum, Rural Electricity AGM Madhusudhan Roy, Hero Freedom Fighter Shah Alam Nannu, etc. also spoke.
