The National Fisheries Week was celebrated at Dumki in Patuakhali with the theme “A country full of safe fish, a smart Bangladesh”. Yesterday, Monday at 10 am, an exchange meeting was held at the office of the Upazila Fisheries Officer with the participation of various media workers. Upazila Fisheries Officer Md. Nurul Islam announced the program of Fisheries Week during the exchange of views. Journalists working in various print and electronic media were present in the meeting. In the meeting, the activities undertaken by the Department of Fisheries to achieve prosperity and protection of fish resources were discussed. On the occasion of the celebration of National Fisheries Week, Dumki has various activities including the release of juvenile fish, processions, discussion meetings, documentary exhibitions.
