Curzon canal and adjacent branch canal re-excavation project has been inaugurated at Barura in Comilla.
Barura Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Sabrina Afrin Mustafa inaugurated the branch canal re-excavation project with Karjankhal of Barura upazila as the chief guest of the project in Barura like all over the country in Barura at 10 am on Monday, October 16, at a place adjacent to Karjankhal called Fakir Mokam on Jholam Road of Barura municipality.
Upazila Assistant Commissioner Land Md. Moin Uddin, Comilla Water Development Board Assistant Engineer Md. Ashrafuzzaman Khan, Assistant Engineer Nahid Farzana Simu, Working Assistant Md. Billal Hossain, Chitda Union Parishad Chairman Md. Zakaria, President of Barura Upazila Press Club and Jhlam High School and College were present. Assistant Professor Journalist Mohammad Masud Majumdar, Publicity Editor Journalist Md Sharif Uddin etc.
Hazratul Allama Imran bin Noori led the prayers and prayers. It is to be noted that on this day, Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the activities of the Water Development Board centrally from Ganobhaban.
