The mobile court raided Baghri Bazar in Rajapur Upazila of Jhalkathi and seized illegal net worth about one lakh eighteen thousand rupees from two shops. On October 15th Sunday afternoon, the Upazila Civil Officer and Executive Magistrate Farhana Yasmin conducted the operation. At that time, two shopkeepers Alamgir Hossain and Saiful were fined for the crime of illegal distribution of 10,000 meters of electricity and 30 tones of electricity.
In the raid, two shopkeepers were fined a total of 1,000 taka and 6,000 taka each. Upazila Marine Fisheries Officer Md. Mahmudul Hasan along with other officers and employees of the Fisheries Office and members of law enforcement agencies were also present.
Later, these illegal nets seized were burned and destroyed publicly in the Upazila Parishad premises.
