Muhammad Atiqur Rahman:
On the 17th day of Ramadan, Saturday (March 7), after Asr, a family grave visit, annual prayer and iftar mahfil was held at An Nur Muhammadiya Meherunnesa Hifz Madrasa and Orphanage in Basudebpur Balkhela Bazar, Kapasia Upazila, Gazipur.
Alhaj Advocate Md. Solaiman Dorji, GP of Gazipur Judge Court and former president of Gazipur District Lawyers Association, was present as the chief guest at the prayer and iftar mahfil.
Alhaj Professor Dr. Md. Lokman Hossain, the landowner of An Nur Muhammadiya Meherunnesa Hifz Madrasa and Orphanage and the general secretary of the management committee and the president of the Gazipur district branch of Nirafat Sadak Chai, was present at the prayer and iftar mahfil, led by Alhaj Professor Dr. Md. Lokman Hossain. Former Public Works Officer Alhaj Md. Mohsin Hossain, prominent businessman Md. Hanif, former Upazila Education Officer Haji Md. Nurul Amin Master, prominent businessman Shakil, retired Navy officer Md. Amjad Hossain Army, the Mohtamim of the Madrasa and Orphanage and the head Imam of the Bolkhela Bazar Central Jame Mosque, Mufti Md. Sirajul Islam, Hafez Aliullah, among others.
Alhaj Professor Dr. Md. Lokman Hossain, the landowner and general secretary of the management committee of An Noor Muhammadiya Meherunnesa Hifz Madrasa and Orphanage, said about the virtue of donating to the madrasa, “By cooperating in good deeds, one can earn goodness from Allah. If that work is for the construction of a mosque or madrasa, then there is no point. Because, donating to a mosque or madrasa is part of Sadaqah Jariyah. If someone donates money to build a mosque, then as long as this mosque is operational, as long as people pray in this mosque, the reward will be written in the donor’s book of deeds. Even after death, he will continue to receive rewards. Similarly, if someone donates to a madrasa, as long as the madrasa is operational, as long as the recitation of the Quran and Hadith continues in the madrasa, the reward will continue to be written in the donor’s book of deeds.” The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “When a person dies, the doors of all his deeds are closed.” But three things remain: 1. Ongoing charity; 2. Knowledge and wisdom that benefits people; 3. A righteous child who prays for his parents.’ (Muslim: 435, 4310).
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, ‘Whoever teaches someone knowledge, the same amount of good deeds will be added to his record of deeds as the one who acts upon it, without any decrease in the reward of either of them.’ (Ibn Majah: 240).
Hazrat Uthmaan (may Allaah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, ‘The best among you is the one who learns the Qur’aan and teaches it to others.’ (Bukhari: 5027).
Therefore, if someone spends money on building madrasas for poor students, donating books and papers, and on these related matters, then the reward earned through these will continue to be added to his record of deeds even after death, even when he lies in the grave.
In this situation, I sincerely appeal to you to come forward for the work of Sadaqah Zaria by donating a part of your donation to this madrasa and orphanage. Contact: 01712 366453.
