If the scales are victorious, human poverty will be eradicated – Professor Mamun

Touhid Hossain Sarkar, Comilla : Even after so many years of independence, many people are deprived of basic needs like food, clothing, shelter, and medical care. If the scales are won, human poverty will be eradicated, oppression and deprivation will no longer exist.
Professor Mamun made this statement during a door-to-door public meeting in Aranyapur, Jagnathpur Union, Adarsha Sadar Upazila, on Saturday.
Comilla Metropolitan Jamaat Naib-e-Ameer Professor AKM Emdadul Haque Mamun held a massive public outreach and yard meeting on behalf of Kazi Din Mohammad, the eleven-party alliance-nominated MP candidate for Comilla-6 (Adarsh ​​Sadar, Comilla Metropolitan, Sadar South and Cantonment) constituency. During the day-long program, he exchanged views with people from different classes and professions and sought support for the candidate.
On Saturday (February 7), as part of the election campaign for the scale symbol, he and his activists toured various areas from morning to evening to talk to voters. A notable part of the program was going door-to-door in Aranyapur village of Jagannathpur union, during which local residents raised various problems in the area, especially the lack of roads, drainage, employment and basic services.

Wadidur Rahman Chowdhury, Professor Talat Mahmud, Union Secretary Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman, Union Chhatra Shibir President Zafar Ahmed, Sramik Kalyan Adarsh ​​Sadar Purba Thana President Md. Nur Hossain, Union Youth Division President and Ward No. 2 President Abdul Quddus, Bakhrabad Center Committee Director Kazi Alamgir Haider, Mostaq Ahmed, Syed Nazmul Hasan, Abdul Karim and local leaders and activists were present at the mass communication.
Speaking at various places, Professor Mamun said that the eyes of people all over the world are on the national elections in Bangladesh. Noting that there were various questions about the past elections, he said that if this election is held in a neutral environment with the participation of all parties, the people will spontaneously go to the polling stations.
He said that Kazi Deen Mohammad, the candidate with the scale symbol in Comilla-6 constituency, has been by the side of the people for a long time. He expressed optimism that the people will elect him as the winner based on his honesty and competence.
Professor Mamun highlighted the importance of justice and said that where justice is established, all people, regardless of religion, caste and tribe, can enjoy security and rights. He hoped that the administration, police and law enforcement agencies would perform their duties completely impartially during the election period.
Touring the Aranyapur area, he highlighted the living conditions of the people and said that even after so many years of independence, many people are deprived of basic needs like food, clothing, shelter and medical care. He commented that these problems can be overcome through planned development.
Referring to the development plan centered around the Gomti River, Professor Mamun said that if both banks of the river can be renovated and modernized, it will create new possibilities for the economy of Comilla. Opportunities for river-based tourism, business and employment will be created and it can become a model for development for the entire district.
He also spoke about the traffic congestion, narrow roads and encroachment of drains in Comilla city. He claimed that these problems have become complex due to lack of planning for a long time. Road widening, drain clearance and traffic system development will be done by adopting proper planning.
He also highlighted the social security and service programs announced by the party, including the establishment of specialized hospitals in district headquarters, free medical treatment and medicines for men and women over 60, initiatives to expand higher education for women, and the introduction of interest-free loans for farmers.
Finally, Professor Mamun told the voters that they must make Kazi Din Mohammad the winner with the symbol of scales to build a society of development, justice and non-discrimination. He also called for creating opportunities for integrated development by supporting local-level candidates.
