The Comilla Victoria College Journalists’ Association (KUVICSAS) has formed a human chain to protest the attack on Victoria College Journalists’ Association general secretary Abu Sufian Russell. On Thursday (June 22), the protest rally and Mamanabbandhan was organized in front of the college’s ‘Hridaye Bangabandhu’ mural. Robin, Abu Hanif Shihab, Jannatul Ferdous, Musfika Jahan Sadia and other members. It is to be noted that local youth cadre Kauchar and businessman Masud Talukder attacked Abu Sufian Russell over a trivial incident in Dhulipara area of the city on Tuesday. He filed a written complaint at the Kotyali Model Police Station. After the incident, there was a storm of condemnation in various journalist circles of Comilla. They appealed to the higher authorities to resolve the matter. Putul Akhter Roli, executive member of Kuviksas in the human chain, said that the talented student of Victoria College wants justice for the attack on Daily Us Comilla, Weekly Amod and Jago Comilla representative Abu Sufian Russell. We demand the immediate arrest of Jubo Dal leader Kauchar and businessman Masud Talukder, the master of various crimes. If such brutal attacks on journalists are not prosecuted in recent times, the country’s media system will become fragile. President Ashiq Iran said, Kauchar has established a reign of terror in Dhulipara area. Records of beating and extortion of common people have already been published in various media. Since yesterday, we are being threatened from various quarters not to exaggerate the issue.
